Terms of Service

Officer Candidate School (OCS) Candidate Portal & Command Center
Roblox Infantry Corps (RIC) Community

Last updated: 29.07.2026
Applies to: the OCS Candidate Portal and the OCS Command Center

Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the OCS Candidate Portal and the OCS Command Center (together, "the Service"), operated as an independent project for the Roblox Infantry Corps (RIC) community.

By logging in through Roblox authentication and using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect and how we handle it.

1. What This Service Is

The Service is a fan-run, non-commercial tool built by a member of the RIC community to support the Officer Candidate School evaluation process — a written examination used to assess candidates for officer roles within the group.

The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Roblox Corporation or Discord Inc. It is an independent project that uses Roblox's and Discord's official authentication systems (OAuth) solely to verify your identity and in-group rank. Your use of Roblox and Discord themselves remains governed by their own respective Terms of Use.

2. Eligibility

To use the Candidate Portal, you must:

Access to the Command Center is restricted to individuals holding an authorized staff role (Academy Head, Senior Instructor, Instructor, Event Logger, or Developer), as described in Section 3 of our Privacy Policy.

3. Access Codes

4. Conduct During the Examination

By starting an examination, you agree to the following, consistent with the honor declaration presented to you before submission:

5. Prohibited Conduct

In addition to the exam-specific rules above, you agree not to:

6. Consequences of Violations

This is a community-run process, not a legal proceeding, and any consequences are internal to the RIC community rather than external legal penalties. If you violate these Terms, OCS staff may, at their discretion:

Where a violation is detected automatically (for example, by the anti-cheat system), you will typically be shown the reason on screen, and the incident is logged for staff review.

7. Confidentiality of Exam Content

The questions contained in the OCS question bank are intended solely for use in the evaluation process. You agree not to publish, distribute, or otherwise make available the content of any question you are shown, whether during your exam or afterward, to anyone who has not yet completed their own evaluation cycle.

8. Service Availability

The Service is provided by a volunteer developer on a best-effort basis, without any guarantee of uptime, availability, or continuous operation. OCS staff may open or close the testing portal at any time, and access may be suspended for maintenance, security reasons, or at the discretion of RIC leadership, without prior notice.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be free of bugs, interruptions, or data loss, though we take reasonable steps to avoid these where possible.

9. No Warranty & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. As this is a non-commercial, volunteer-run community project, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator and RIC staff are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including but not limited to loss of progress on an exam, disqualification from the candidacy process, or account-related disputes within the Roblox group or Discord server.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Relationship to Roblox and Discord

Your use of the Roblox platform and the Discord platform remains subject to their own respective Terms of Service, independent of this Service. Any consequences applied through this Service (such as disqualification from officer candidacy) are internal to the RIC community and do not constitute action taken by Roblox Corporation or Discord Inc.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time as the Service evolves. When we make a material change, we will announce it in the official RIC Discord server, and the "Last updated" date at the top of this document will reflect the most recent revision. Continuing to use the Service after a material change has been announced constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or for any other reason related to the integrity of the OCS process. You may stop using the Service at any time.

13. Governing Approach & Disputes

As this is an informal, volunteer-run community project rather than a registered business, disputes about these Terms are handled directly through RIC leadership and, where relevant, in coordination with Roblox's or Discord's own reporting and moderation systems. These Terms do not attempt to establish a specific governing jurisdiction or formal legal venue.
