Terms of Service

Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the OCS Candidate Portal, the RIC Officer Command Hub, and the OCS Command Center (together, "the Service"), operated as an independent project for the Roblox Infantry Corps (RIC) community.

By logging in through Roblox authentication and using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect and how we handle it.

1. What This Service Is

The Service is a fan-run, non-commercial tool built by a member of the RIC community to support the Officer Candidate School evaluation process and commissioned officer career management within the group.

The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Roblox Corporation or Discord Inc. It is an independent project that uses Roblox's and Discord's official authentication systems (OAuth) solely to verify your identity and in-group rank. Your use of Roblox and Discord themselves remains governed by their own respective Terms of Use.

2. Eligibility

To use the Candidate Portal or Officer Hub, you must:

• Hold an account in good standing on both Roblox and Discord, meeting each platform's own eligibility requirements — including their respective minimum age requirements (Discord requires users to be at least 13 years old).
• Be a member of the official RIC Discord server and Roblox group.
• Hold a minimum in-group rank of Warrant Officer (WO) or above for candidate testing, or a commissioned officer rank for the Officer Hub.
• Possess a valid, single-use access code issued to you personally by OCS staff when taking an examination.

Access to the Command Center is restricted to individuals holding an authorized staff role (Academy Head, Senior Instructor, Instructor, Event Logger, or Developer), as described in Section 3 of our Privacy Policy.

3. Access Codes

• Each access code is generated for one specific candidate and is not transferable. Attempting to use a code issued to someone else, or sharing your own code with another person, is a violation of these Terms.
• Access codes expire 7 days after issuance if unused.
• A code becomes permanently invalid once your exam has been submitted or once it has been revoked by an administrator.
• OCS staff may revoke an active code at any time, including mid-session, if a security or integrity concern is identified. Revocation immediately terminates your session.

4. Conduct During the Examination

By starting an examination, you agree to the following, consistent with the honor declaration presented to you before submission:

• All answers you submit must be entirely your own original work, written by you without assistance from another person, another account, or any AI tool.
• You will not attempt to copy, screenshot, redistribute, or otherwise share the contents of exam questions with anyone who has not yet completed their own evaluation.
• You will not attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with the Portal's anti-cheat systems, including but not limited to fullscreen enforcement, clipboard restrictions, developer tools detection, or activity monitoring.
• You understand and consent that, while your exam session is active, the Portal records certain behavioral signals (typing patterns, tab switches, fullscreen exits, and similar signals) for the sole purpose of detecting unauthorized assistance, as described in our Privacy Policy.
• You will remain connected and in fullscreen mode for the duration of the exam where required by the Portal; extended disconnection or repeated exits from fullscreen may result in your session being automatically terminated.

5. Prohibited Conduct

In addition to the exam-specific rules above, you agree not to:

• Attempt to access, modify, or delete data belonging to another candidate, officer, or staff member.
• Attempt to exploit, probe, or interfere with the Service's underlying infrastructure, including the database, authentication system, or any connected third-party service.
• Submit falsified operational proof, fabricated event logs, or plagiarized rank-up projects in the Officer Hub.
• Impersonate another person, or misrepresent your identity, rank, or role within the community.

6. Consequences of Violations

This is a community-run process, not a legal proceeding, and any consequences are internal to the RIC community rather than external legal penalties. If you violate these Terms, OCS staff may, at their discretion:

• Immediately terminate your exam session and mark your submission as invalid.
• Revoke your access code and deny reissuance.
• Disqualify you from the current or future officer candidacy cycles or issue formal Officer Strikes.
• Refer the matter to RIC group leadership for further disciplinary action under the community's own rules, up to and including demotion or removal from the group.

7. Confidentiality of Exam & Directive Content

The questions contained in the OCS question bank and the orders inside the Classified Briefing terminal are intended solely for authorized personnel. You agree not to publish, leak, or distribute this content outside authorized RIC channels.

8. Service Availability & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" by a volunteer developer on a best-effort basis, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator and RIC staff are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
